Frequently Asked Questions

  • God created us to know Him, love Him, and glorify Him; but all mankind has sinned against Him and stands guilty before His righteous judgment (Gen 1:26-31; 3:1-19; Rom 3:23). Yet, in His mercy, God sent His Son, Jesus Christ, who lived the righteous life we failed to live and died on the cross to bear the punishment sinners deserve (Isa 53:4-6; Rom 5:6-9; 2 Cor 5:21; 1 Pet 3:18). After His death, Jesus rose from the dead, demonstrating that God’s wrath against sin had bee satisfied and that sin and death had been conquered through His saving work (1 Cor 15:3-4, 20-22; Rom 4:25). God now commands all people everywhere to repent of their sins and trust in Christ alone for salvation (Mark 1:15; Acts 17:30-31). All who come to Christ by faith alone are completely forgiven, declared righteous before God, adopted into His family, and given the sure hope of eternal life (John 1:12; Rom 5:1; 8:15-17; Eph 2:8-9).

  • SUNDAY SCHOOL

    Sunday school is separated into multiple age-based classes with children meeting in the downstairs classrooms and adults meeting in the church’s multi-purpose room. Classes start at 9:45am.

    Children are taught by qualified, background checked teachers using a curriculum vetted by our elders. Adults are taught by one of our elders or occasionally a guest speaker in a more casual discussion-oriented method meant to foster engagement. Adults are currently working through a series on Systematic Theology.

    SUNDAY AM WORSHIP

    Sunday AM Worship is in the auditorium and starts at 11am. Our worship is intentionally simple and follows a regular pattern for the purpose of eliminating distraction and allowing the congregation to focus their hearts and minds on God and the truths taught throughout the service. Our services are approximately 75-90 minutes long and include singing, Scripture reading, prayer, and preaching.

    WEDNESDAY PRAYER MEETING

    Prayer Meeting starts every Wednesday at 7pm and meets in the multi-purpose room. Because the focus on Wednesday’s is prayer, we intentionally limit everything else so we can pray. The service will start with a Call to Worship, singing, and a short devotion to prepare our hearts for prayer itself. Prayer Meeting is approximately 75 minutes.

  • We are a confessionally Reformed Baptist church, which means that we believe historic Reformed theology and practice Baptist polity. We are Bible-focused, theologically conservative, and Gospel-centered. We embrace the Protestant Reformation and hold the Baptist understanding of believer’s baptism and local church autonomy. We affirm the 1689 London Baptist Confession of Faith as the fullest expression of our faith—second to Scripture itself.

  • While we are an independent and fully autonomous church, we fellowship with likeminded churches and hold full membership with the Reformed Baptist Network (RBNet).

  • We are an elder led, deacon served, and congregationally affirmed church. Additionally, we believe that churches ought to be led by a plurality of elders and so we have a team of biblically qualified elders who lead and deacons who serve.

  • During Sunday School we offer classes based on age. During worship services, we are family-integrated (i.e., we encourage families to worship together rather than splitting the family into different groups). We do offer an unstaffed nursery for families who need to step away for a moment, but we encourage families to bring their children back into the service when able.

  • We do not use a singular Bible translation. While we affirm that the autographs are fully inspired and breathed out by God, we do not believe that any singular English translation of Scripture is the sole correct translation. Rather, we encourage members to use multiple Bible translations with an emphasis on word-for-word translations.

    From the pulpit and during Sunday School, you’ll hear people quote from a variety of good English translations including the English Standard Version (ESV), New American Standard Bible (NASB), King James Version (KJV), and New King James Version (NKJV).
